Universidad Externado de Colombia and Politecnico Grancolombiano

Gimnasio del Norte has successfully achieved an agreement with these two institutions as to allow its students to enroll on the basis of “Preferential Admission”; which means, there will be no need for interviews or any specific process but only by demonstrating to have graduated from Gimnasio del Norte.

The Politecnico and its Audio-visual Media faculty, has recently signed an agreement to link the Gimnasio’s activities with the academic resources and logistics of this faculty, benefiting the students enrolled in Communications  (grades 5th thru 8th).

Universidad de la Sabana

Gimnasio del Norte in conjunction with Universidad de la Sabana, has created a college students training program for those students enrolled in the Children’s Education program.  Each six months we have the participation of trainers from different pre-school levels.  The purpose of this program is to provide guidance to college students in the Education field, giving them the opportunity to interact with children and support the teachers in their everyday tasks.  Such experience is very satisfying not only for the college students but for our school itself.  It allows us to be abreast of the latest approaches to children’s education and the teaching practice.

A.A.C.B.I. (Asociacion Andina de Colegios de Bachillerato International)

This is a private organization, composed of schools which belong to the International Baccalaureate Organization, from countries in the Andean regional, Central America and the Caribbean, who are interested in supporting and communicating the goals of the International Baccalaureate program.

Gimnasio del Norte has been a member of this organization since 1997 and has participated in seminars, meetings and other activities planned by the International Baccalaureate Organization on educational subjects for directors, teachers and/or students.

Gimnasio del Norte carries out activities with this institution on subjects such as astronomy, camping, workshops and conferences.

The British Council

In its quest for “bilinguismo” Gimnasio Britanico works very closely with one of the best language institutes in the world The British Council.  This alliance has helped us improve our programs and has provided us with the necessary tools to master the language itself.  At the end of the year, the students take the Cambridge examination, which is highly recognized all over the world.
